Museum and Visitors' Shop
The Museum and Visitors’ Shop is located on the second floor of our facilities.The Museum provides living history experiences for visitors from all 50 states and 44 countries. We are an affordable educational destination for local and regional residents as well.
Explore highlights of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, Native American displays, various Missouri River habitats, and natural discoveries the Corps encountered during the expedition. The museum’s artwork, "Missouri River Walk," is the largest indoor mural in the state.
Classes, private presentations and tour-group talks are conducted in the classroom. When not in use, the classroom features an award-winning film.
Unique items for all ages are available in the Visitors’ Shop featuring a wide selection of books of all reading levels. Titles include those related to Lewis & Clark, Native Americans, general history, local interest, and nature.
